SLT

The Logistics and Technical Department is responsible for maintaining and improving research facilities. The team is committed to carrying out all requests made to it in the best possible conditions and within budget. The LTS works closely with the Laboratory's team of Prevention Assistants (PA), as well as with ENSIC's technical and administrative services.

Main tasks

• Distribution, collection and dispatch of mail and parcels;
• Monitoring and carrying out minor building maintenance and repairs;
• Electrical installation, changing and upgrading lighting fixtures;
• Plumbing;
• Minor mechanical work;
• Assistance with gas bottle management and logistics;
• Assistance with key management;
• Physical reception of visitors when required.

Technical interventions

The SLT department also ensures the smooth running of the various compressors and compressed air tanks through a maintenance contract. Here are a few examples of first-level technical maintenance and servicing operations:

• Help with fitting out offices, laboratories and meeting rooms;
• Installation of partitions, painting, floor repairs;
• Repairing water leaks, changing small water heaters;
• Changing light bulbs, neon tubes, ceiling tiles, etc.
• Helping to organize and tidy the various storage bunkers.

Together with the team of prevention assistants, the logistics and technical department also participates in mandatory regulatory controls, such as the monitoring of collective protection equipment (CPE), such as fume cupboards and fume hoods.
