Process Analysis and Measurement Structure of the lab

The SAMPL platform (Structure d'Analyse et de Mesure en Procédés du LRGP) was created from the LRGP's former analytical team: ECCMA (Équipe de Coordination et de Compétences des Moyens Analytiques) and the shared equipment pool for which it was responsible. It is made up of technical staff, all specialists in different fields, and a professor of analytical chemistry. The members of SAMPL come from the laboratory's research teams, which means that all the needs of researchers and teachers are covered. Its primary aim is to support the LRGP's research teams in their activities. In the first half of 2024, SAMPL acquired the StAR LUE (Structure d'Appui à la Recherche Lorraine Université d'Excellence) label, which is based on the Infra+ programme. The platform now offers its skills and expertise to other Research Infrastructures and to external public or private companies: Plug In Labs Lorraine.

Fields of application

The platform's areas of application are extremely varied and involve the analysis of complex media. Our samples come from the environment (water, biomass, soil, aerosols), biology, food (food, feed), pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, industrial effluents and waste, materials, nanomaterials and synthetic products.

Missions

The platform's remit is as follows:

• Training staff in the use of the equipment
• Maintain and renew the equipment pool
• To meet the analytical needs of the LRGP as a whole
• Offer its services outside the LRGP
